Support and privacy contact: support@memorywastes.com

This Privacy Policy is available in multiple languages. The translations are intended to have the same meaning. If a discrepancy remains, the English version controls to the extent permitted by applicable law; mandatory privacy rights under local law are not reduced by this rule.

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy explains how Deep Tech Solutions FZ-LLC (“Deep Tech Solutions”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use Memory Wastes, memorywastes.com, connected game features, support, and related services.

Deep Tech Solutions FZ-LLC is the data controller for the processing described here where applicable. Store operators and other third parties may act as separate controllers for data they process under their own services and policies.

2. Privacy summary

Memory Wastes is designed to minimize unnecessary data collection. The game does not use advertising as part of its product model. We do not sell personal data and do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Core gameplay is designed to start and continue using bundled content and a valid local cache without a continuous connection. Connected functions use limited data for authentication, content updates, entitlement verification, security, and Player Exchange.

3. Where data comes from

We may receive data directly from the game or website, from you when you contact support or choose a public character name, from the store or platform through which you obtain or purchase the game, and automatically from the technical systems used to deliver and secure connected services.

The exact data available to us depends on your platform, the features you use, and which connected functions are enabled in the released build.

4. Data stored locally on your device

Memory Wastes stores gameplay and technical data locally so the game can operate. This may include saves, settings, language, content caches, a randomly generated installation UUID, authentication tokens, and locally cached Player Exchange data.

The installation UUID is randomly generated for an installation. It is not a MAC address, advertising identifier, or hardware fingerprint. Access and refresh tokens are authentication credentials and should not be shared. Local data normally remains on your device unless a connected feature described below transmits a specific subset.

5. Data sent to connected services

When connected functions are used, the game may transmit the randomly generated installation UUID for authentication, authentication and session data, locale, build and client request identifiers, content-update requests and cache validators, and data needed to verify store entitlements when those platform integrations are enabled.

The game may also transmit a limited character snapshot for Player Exchange. We do not transmit the entire local save merely because connected services are enabled.

6. Player Exchange: information visible to other players

Player Exchange may make a limited character snapshot available to other players. The public snapshot may include the character name you entered, an opaque public player identifier, character type, localized character-type name, attributes, skills, current and maximum Life, Sickness, and equipped weapons and protection with relevant gameplay values.

Life and Sickness are fictional game statistics and are not medical or health information about you. Do not put your real name, contact details, account credentials, or other sensitive personal data in the character-name field if you do not want that information shown to other players.

7. Information not included in the public character snapshot

The public Player Exchange snapshot does not include your full save file, money, full backpack contents, storage, reputation, quests, current location, travel history, Awareness, Personal Archive, or other collected texts and records.

It also does not include your license key, access or refresh token, or installation ID inside the public character object. The installation ID may still be used privately by our authentication and server systems to operate the service.

8. Network, server, and security data

Our hosting and security infrastructure may process standard network information needed to deliver a request, such as IP address, timestamps, request path, protocol information, response status, and similar technical metadata. We may use authentication records, installation records, entitlement results, rate-limit data, and security events to protect the Services and investigate abuse.

Connected character snapshots are checked for clearly abnormal numerical values. A security event may record the affected field, submitted value, threshold, severity, and related technical identifiers; the current design does not require storing the full character snapshot inside that anomaly event.

9. Purchases and entitlements

Steam, Epic Games Store, Apple, Google, or another platform generally processes the purchase and payment details for transactions made through its store. We do not need your full payment-card number or store password to validate an entitlement.

When platform entitlement integrations are enabled, we may receive or process transaction, ownership, receipt, account-linked entitlement, or verification information needed to confirm access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide the correct version or additional content. The exact fields depend on the platform’s technical interface and will be reflected in the relevant store privacy disclosure.

10. Content updates and offline cache

The game may contact our protected content service to check for updated records and other game content. Conditional requests may use cache identifiers such as ETags so unchanged files do not need to be downloaded again.

If a network request fails, the game is designed to retain the last valid local cache instead of deleting it. Removing content from the current remote set does not necessarily erase copies already stored in a local save or archive where the game rules allow them to remain.

11. Website data

memorywastes.com currently stores your selected site language locally in your browser so the site can remember that choice. The public site is not intended to use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising analytics.

Hosting, content-delivery, and security providers may still process standard request metadata needed to serve and protect the website and may use strictly necessary storage or security mechanisms where technically required. If we later add analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or another technology that materially changes these practices, we will update this Policy and applicable store disclosures as required.

12. Sharing to social networks

Where the game offers sharing, you choose whether to open an external sharing destination and what to publish. The game may prepare a Memory Wastes share link, image, or text for the action you initiate.

Opening or posting to X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, or another third-party service makes that service’s privacy policy and account settings relevant. We do not treat the mere presence of a share button as permission to send your personal data to a social network without your action.

13. Support communications

If you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, platform, purchase details, or technical information reasonably needed to investigate the issue.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, access or refresh tokens, license keys, or other authentication secrets in ordinary support email. We may retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, prevent repeated abuse, establish a record of the resolution, or meet legal obligations.

14. Why we use data and legal bases

We use data to provide the game and connected functions; authenticate installations and platform entitlements; deliver and cache content updates; operate Player Exchange; restore eligible purchases; secure the Services; detect fraud or abusive technical behavior; answer support requests; maintain and troubleshoot the product; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where a law such as the GDPR requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is required. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on users and use data-minimization measures.

15. Service providers and other recipients

We may disclose limited data to service providers that help us operate the Services, including Cloudflare for hosting, storage, database, networking, and security functions, and to the relevant store or platform provider such as Valve/Steam, Epic Games, Apple, or Google for distribution, entitlement, purchase, or platform functions.

We may also disclose data to a social service you deliberately choose for sharing, to professional advisers under confidentiality, to authorities where legally required, or in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Memory Wastes business, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards. Service providers receive data only for their role and are expected to protect it under applicable contracts and law.

16. No sale, no advertising profile, and data minimization

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Memory Wastes is not designed around advertising. We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, contacts, biometric identifiers, or real-world health information as part of the core game systems described in this Policy.

We seek to collect only data reasonably needed for the features you use, security, purchases, and legal compliance. If a future feature requires a materially different category of data, we will provide the disclosures and consent required before or when that processing begins.

17. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, and platform requirements. Different categories therefore have different retention periods.

Character snapshots are not linked to user, app installation, or device identifiers. A new snapshot does not necessarily replace an earlier one immediately: each snapshot remains in Player Exchange for up to 30 days from its last update, after which it is removed.

18. Data deletion and privacy requests

Memory Wastes does not currently require a separate Deep Tech Solutions consumer account created with an email and password. It does use installation-based and platform-based identifiers for connected functions. You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other applicable privacy action by emailing support@memorywastes.com with the subject “Privacy / Data Request”.

We may ask for reasonable information to locate the relevant installation, public player record, platform entitlement, or support record and to prevent unauthorized deletion. Do not send us passwords, payment-card data, access or refresh tokens, or license keys. We will delete or restrict eligible server-side personal data when required, but may retain limited information where law, fraud prevention, transaction records, security, dispute handling, or another lawful exception requires it. Deleting the app or a local save does not automatically send a server-side deletion request.

19. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to know or access personal data, receive a copy, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, obtain portable data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and complain to a competent data-protection or consumer authority.

California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing as defined by applicable California law, and to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable. Because we do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or behavioral-ad-sharing activity to opt out of under the practices described in this Policy. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right where prohibited by law.

20. International processing and transfers

Deep Tech Solutions FZ-LLC is based in the United Arab Emirates, and our service providers and platform partners may process data in other countries. Your data may therefore be processed outside the country where you live.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use or rely on appropriate contractual, legal, organizational, or technical measures available for the relevant transfer and provider.

21. Children

Memory Wastes is not designed as a service directed to young children. The game’s store age rating may be higher than the minimum age for data-protection consent in some regions. Users must follow the age requirement shown by the relevant store and applicable law.

We do not knowingly seek personal data from a child who cannot lawfully use the connected Services without required parental or guardian authorization. If you believe such data has been provided, contact support@memorywastes.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

22. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the Services, including encrypted network transport where supported, protected server storage, token-based access controls, private content storage, credential rotation, data minimization, and checks intended to detect clearly abusive or invalid connected data.

No system, device, network, or storage method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your platform account, device, and authentication secrets secure.

23. Automated security decisions

Connected services may automatically reject clearly invalid or extreme character values, expired or invalid tokens, excessive installation attempts, malformed requests, or other activity that fails security rules. These decisions are used to protect access and service integrity and are not intended to make legal, employment, credit, insurance, health, or similarly significant decisions about you.

If you believe a legitimate installation or snapshot was incorrectly restricted, contact support@memorywastes.com. We may review relevant technical records and, where appropriate, restore or adjust connected access.

24. Changes and store privacy disclosures

We may update this Privacy Policy when the game, connected services, providers, law, or platform requirements change. We will publish the updated version and change the effective or last-updated date. Where law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.

Apple App Privacy information, Google Play Data safety declarations, and similar store disclosures are summaries of the data practices of the build distributed through that store. They must be kept consistent with the actual released build. If we activate a new analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, account, or other SDK or feature that materially changes data processing, we will update the relevant disclosures as required.
